There is a need to teach young people the traditions, discipline, fun and excitement of learning safe shooting.  The Gateway Sportsmen’s Club continues to bring this important program to young people, by hosting its fourth annual Youth Waterfowl Shoot.  This event will be absolutely FREE to youth ages 10 to 16 thanks to an NRA Foundation Grant.  The shoot will be held Friday, September 17th from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Delta Waterfowl will also be attending this event.  Participants can shoot two 25 bird rounds of Skeet, Trap or 5 Stand Duck Tower.  Contact Bill Kauffold (989) 674-0028 or Tom Eurich (989) 883-2369 to volunteer.

We plan to open the duck tower during Delta Waterfowl’s Outdoor Show in August.  Please contact Doug Elston at (989) 883-3787 to volunteer to help the shooters with the event.

VOTE Tuesday:

Remember to cast your vote in Tuesday’s primary election.  If you want to see which candidates support your Second Amendment rights, visit the NRA’s Political Victory Fund at www.nrapvf.org  Candidates are assigned a letter grade based on their voting record and answers to questions.
