2010 Newsletter
Membership
meeting of the Gateway Sportsmen's Club will be Tuesday,
March 2, 2010
at
7:30 p.m.
This is the
last notice for 2010 Membership dues are $40 and are due now.
Membership cards will be sent soon. If we haven’t received
your dues, you have received an envelope to return them in with
this newsletter. Because of postage costs, those that don’t
renew will no longer receive the newsletter.
Gun
Raffle:
Dennis
Krzyiak won the Traditions Pursuit Pro Thumbhole .50 cal
at the February meeting.
A winner will be drawn at our March meeting for a
Weatherby
Vanguard .300 Mag
Because of
our successful gun raffle fundraiser, it was decided to give
something back to the community. Flags representing the 5
military branches
are being donated for display in Unionville’s Veterans Memorial.
Donations were also made to Wings of Mercy East Michigan,
and Great Start Tuscola, a reading program that provides
books to children in Tuscola County.
Scholarship applications are due April 1st.
The club is in good financial shape so it was decided to
increase the amount per student to $500. Students at Akron
Fairgrove and USA Schools pursuing a degree in
Agriculture,
Conservation, or Education are eligible.
April 17th
the club will host a Surf and Turf game dinner. Tickets
are $20 each. Menu includes venison, walleye and BBQ pork.

the club and join us for an evening of food and fun. Last year
over 180 people attended.
Byron
Arnold is teaching a Coast Guard Auxiliary Boating Safety
Course at the club on Saturday, April
24th.
Cost is $35 per person and includes a DVD and manual.
Additional family members can attend for $5 per person.
Pre-registration is recommended by calling Byron at (989)
674-8658. The class will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and
includes a light lunch donated by Lindy’s Sales.
The
Friends of NRA are having
their 3rd
fundraiser banquet at the club Saturday, April 10th.
Tickets are available from several club members or by
stopping
at Lindy’s Sales

It’s a fun event and good way to support your shooting rights.
